Abstract
This paper introduces "transparent documents," interactive web-based scholarly articles that allow readers to explore the relationship to underlying data by hovering over text fragments. It also presents an LLM-based tool for authoring these documents, building on recent developments in data provenance for general-purpose programming languages.
