Abstract

This paper explores user turn generation to assess the interaction awareness of language models. It investigates how well language models understand and generate appropriate user responses in conversational contexts, moving beyond just generating assistant responses. This has significant potential for developing more natural and effective conversational AI systems, chatbots, and virtual assistants.
