DeepER-Med: Advancing Deep Evidence-Based Research in Medicine Through Agentic AI

This paper proposes the DeepER-Med framework, an agentic AI system designed to significantly enhance deep evidence-based research in medicine. It focuses on integrating certainty calibration with retrieval-based search for open-domain question answering, aiming to improve reliability and transparency in healthcare and biomedical discovery. The system performs multi-step reflection and verification over Wikipedia data, trained with reinforcement learning for optimal performance in real-world clinical scenarios.
