Abstract

Non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) are crucial for controlling infectious disease transmission when pharmaceutical options are unavailable. This paper proposes ADIOS, an Agent-based Infectious Disease Intervention Optimization System, that optimizes NPIs for infectious disease simulations using Grammar-Guided Genetic Programming. ADIOS structures the intervention search space through a domain-specific language, enabling efficient optimization and generation of complex NPI patterns to support decision-makers in devising effective strategies.
