Predictive Analytics for Dementia: Machine Learning on Healthcare Data

This study enhances dementia prediction using machine learning techniques on patient health data, with supervised learning algorithms like KNN, QDA, LDA, and Gaussian Process Classifiers. LDA achieved the highest testing accuracy of 98%. The research highlights the importance of model interpretability and the correlation of dementia with factors like the APOE-epsilon4 allele and chronic conditions, advocating for future explainable AI in dementia care.
