Abstract
This work investigates the concept of local charges in non-Hermitian bosonic chains, revealing instances where the "all-or-nothing" picture of charge conservation is violated. The findings have implications for understanding transport phenomena and energy relaxation in open quantum systems, which could be relevant for quantum computing and condensed matter physics.
