Abstract

This study presents observations of formaldehyde (H2CO) emission in protoplanetary disks, analyzing its correlation with stellar properties and disk dynamics using exoALMA data. We investigate potential chemical formation pathways for H2CO, including gas-phase reactions and ice-surface chemistry, within the inner regions of these disks. This work advances our understanding of the chemical environment where planets form and the origins of organic molecules in nascent planetary systems.
