Abstract
This paper proposes Test-Time Tool Evolution (TTE), a new paradigm enabling LLM agents to synthesize, verify, and evolve executable tools during inference for scientific reasoning. It overcomes the limitations of static tool libraries in sparse and heterogeneous scientific domains, accelerating scientific discovery.
