Seismology modeling agent: A smart assistant for geophysical researchers

This paper proposes an intelligent, interactive workflow powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) to address the steep learning curve and complex manual operations in traditional seismic wave simulation software. It introduces the first Model Context Protocol (MCP) server suite for SPECFEM, enabling an intent-driven conversational interaction and lowering the entry barrier for computational geophysics toward AI-assisted and automated scientific research.
